I create mixed media art including both analog and digital collage, assemblage, and jewelry. Each medium allows me to tap into and satisfy my expansive, artistic curiosities. Being immersed in the act of creation holds deep value. This state allows me to explore, experiment, grow, and heal. The creative process is meditative, introspective, and intentional: influenced by years of yoga and meditation practices. The end product is a physical manifestation of the joining of my inner and outer worlds. Each piece is designed to bring joy and beauty into the world.
My art is an exploration of contrast and coexistence. I’m inspired by the way rough, imperfect textures can hold space for softness, and how delicate florals can emerge from layered, weathered surfaces. By blending organic and geometric elements, along with vintage and contemporary imagery, I create work that mirrors the complexity, resilience, and quiet beauty of being human.
I take time to be in nature, observing and collecting. It is rare for me to not come home with feathers, sticks, heart-shaped stones, or other odds and ends I find interesting. I also gather lots of pictures: textures of tree bark, patterns in clouds, earthy colors of lichen clinging to rock, rusty metal, weathered paint… as well as plenty of photos of my furry companions. When I am not in the art or yoga studio, or outside hiking, you can find me scouting for unique items at secondhand shops.
